WASHINGTON, PA (July 16, 2026) — Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, has won PONY Baseball’s Caribbean Zone to qualify for the 2026 Printscape PONY League World Series. Making their fourth appearance in the tournament, the 2026 squad returns to Washington with the goal of capturing another title after their championship run in 2024.

Guaynabo was dominant throughout Caribbean Zone play, putting together an undefeated tournament performance. In pool play, they earned wins over Curaçao (8–2), the Bahamas Champs (13–3), Colombia (21–0), and the Bahamas Host (15–0). They carried that momentum into bracket play with an 18–1 semifinal victory over the Bahamas Host before finishing the run with a 10–0 win against Bahamas Champs in the championship game.

With consistent success on both sides of the ball, Guaynabo points to its complete team effort as a key advantage. “Our team’s strengths are our pitching, offense, and defense,” said manager Edville Feliberty. “As they make the trip to Washington, PA, the team brings high expectations and confidence from prior success on the world stage. Our expectations are very high. Our goal is to win the World Series.”

Guaynabo will aim to make another deep run in the 2026 Printscape PONY League World Series when they open play against the North Zone Champion, Bay County, MI, at 7:30 PM/ET on Friday, August 7, at Historic Lew Hays PONY Field in Washington, PA.
